M31 The Andromeda Galaxy

The Andromeda Galaxy also known as Messier 31 is a barred spiral galaxy approximately 2.5 million light-years from Earth and the nearest major galaxy to our Milky Way. It is the most distant object and the only spiral galaxy outside our Milky Way able to be seen with the naked eye.
